This week especially seems to be full of heartache and sorrow.  I turn on the television and hear of the shooting in Alabama, the school shooting in Germany and the current economic condition in our county and world.  In my small rural community, there is more news of cancer, heart problems, job loss and families in crisis.

This week I have been meditating on the Psalms 91:4.  “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge..”  How comforting those words are to me.  To feel safe and secure under the wings of my father.  It gives me the strength I need to face whatever comes next.

In the warmth of his love,  I have found an added treasure.  A new level of trust that gives me “peace which passes all understanding.”
