When our youngest son was a toddler, we lived in a tri-level home.  Many times I would be upstairs in the bedrooms or even on the main level working in the kitchen; while Trevor played in the toy room downstairs.  When I was in another part of the house and he couldn’t find me, instead of asking “where are you?”  he would always holler “I need you Mommy.”  I have often thought about that in regards to my relationship with God.

So many times when I have felt like I couldn’t find God, I searched in the wrong places for Him.  Trying to find the joy and peace in other humans, jobs or material possessions.  Finally, realizing  all I need to do is what Trevor did.  No need to go searching for my Father,  He was always there.  Just waiting for me to admit “I need you Father.”
